Homework: My EnemyA Poem by Aehr
Like an uninvited guest, you invade my time
Forcing me to despise you, and jot down this little rhyme Because you, you're my enemy, even though you're devoid of life And I just mentally murder you all the time, with my knife You see, I'm a teenage girl, I have social engagements too But then I can never enjoy them, because my priority is also you I've dropped my plans for you, so many times I can recall And you make me want to smash my head against a wall There's History and Geography, they make me go mad And Mathematics and French homework simply makes me sad Economics isn't bad, the homework simply kills And then there's art, testing my creative skills This is more like a plea to the Lord of school If you exist, giving homework for the summer isn't cool Please, let me live, and don't torture my soul Because I'm stuck between books simply dying as a whole
