Remember The RosesA Poem by AehrIt's from the point of view of a boy. I just thought I'd give it a try.
Remember when you were twelve,
And were suffering from some disease? The boy who left you roses, Was forever and always me And remember when you turned sixteen, And the man you loved broke your heart? The boy who left you daisies Was always me from the very start Oh, and when you turned twenty, And your Mommy passed away The one who left you jasmines Was always me, everyday And then when you turned twenty four And married the other man who loved you I was the one who left you daisies again And I cried all day under the blue And then you left the city at twenty eight I was the man who left you roses at that time And in the grief of your leaving It was me who left you that rhyme Remember me, my love? I was always by your side But now I see your eyes close And I just hope you keep me with you And remember me with this last rose
