Unspoken LoveA Poem by AehrShe didn’t need anyone else To always be by her shoulder She could live alone for life Wander alone in those fields forever
Stony hearts surrounded her And afraid of them was she She was contained to her own world That was the best place for her to be Little did she know, that out of those stones One melted, just by her charming smile The chasm of love was where he had fallen He had left his own world far behind But her walls were built so high It was impossible to bring them down To tell her that he loved her, To crumble the barriers to the ground She was so much more than just a face And her big, innocent, green eyes Her long straight golden hair And her skin, as cold as ice He longed to tell her what he felt What his heart wanted to comprehend He was a silent lover, and he’d always been And she wasn’t even his friend But what he never ever knew Was that she longed for romance A prince who could love her forever And that he alone was under her glance None of them ever spoke of their love It was a mutual secret untold And that was how it went on and on Till both of them grew old Now that they both are in heaven Far away from the eyes of men They’ve been said to get another chance To try and confess their love again © 2013 AehrAuthor's Note
