PrisonA Poem by Aehr
Iron bars clanking
Frustration in my veins Tired of the darkness The old, boring games Colourless dreams now fading too Leisure is something I can't recall My friends and family hate me I'm like a forgotten old rag doll I'm a caged phoenix at heart One not yet risen And I'll spread my wings and fly again Once I escape this prison
