Last Confession

Last Confession

A Poem by Aehr

You might be doing this just for me
But do you know that you're making it worse?
You were my friend and I really miss you
But your name now seems like a curse

I try to cry to let go of my feelings
Bottled up, so the tears don't come!
If this is your objective, rejoice, dear friend
Be happy, this time you've won

Unconditional and selfless feelings
That might be what's from your side
But for me, it's a miniature tornado
An end to my happy, cheerful ride

An attempt to put myself together
And I end up writing this rhyme
I just want to confess that I miss you
For the last, very last time
