Broken Angel

She’s not just another angel

She can burn you, or just make you disappear

She’s not just another angel

Beware, she’s dangerous, don’t go near

 

She’s not your average angel

Don’t let her looks sweep you away

She’s not your average angel

She’ll take all the colour, and turn your life grey

 

She’s not that radiant soul

They talk about, the one that is good

Her heart is cruel and dark

She doesn’t do anything that she should

 

But they say, there was a time, when she was better

When she was good, and she was blessed, and serene

But then they stole her heart, and her good side faded

Now she’s just turned bad, evil, and , mean

 

She’s broken the bond of trust and friendship

And she rots in her mansion, dark and cold

But some say she herself prays to God

For her goodness to come back to her soul

Author's Note

I think the 'angel' part is pretty much inspired by the Boyce Avenue song, Broken Angel. I thought that would make a good title as well! :)

Very eerie yet still amazing. The eerie is what makes it what it is,(the topic,Broken Angel). I liked every bit. Great Job Rhea!Can't wait to read more of writing.

I knew many dark Angels. Easy to be blind by anger. People can turn from giver to takers with too much sadness and disappointment. I like your description of the dark Angel. Even the broken in heart and spirit will pray. Thank you for the excellent poem.
