Magic Is Everywhere

Dragons and witches and castles and dreams

Everything isn't really what it seems

Watch the leaf as in the sun it gleams

And there, you have proof of wands casting beams

When your mother touches your hair

And gives you her long, loving stare

You really do feel safe anywhere

Feeling like you are in an angel's lair

After the rain when you look at the sky

When the clouds are out of reasons to cry

A beautiful rainbow catches your eye

You see i as a staircase you'll cross when you die

Magic is everywhere, you just have to see it

If you really want a dream to come true, believe it

If this is your story, take a pen and just write it

If you're scared of the world, just get up and fight it

Such an awesome poem here, the flow is smooth, the words play against one another gracefully, and love the meaning of it. What it means to me is to be a dreamer and cherish those dreams. All in all a magical write!

Ok, so Ashley said it all for me. This poem is beautiful, brilliant and simply put, magical. And oh my god, the superb images - especially in this line "when the clouds are out of reasons to cry"! I felt the last stanza was very powerful and inspirational.

A 100/100 if I ever saw one, plus a standing ovation!

Rhea, I really loved this poem! It brings me into the fantasy world that I seem to live most of the time. Most of the time I block my loved ones out for a good hour or so to live in this world of mine. I love that you had an inspiration from a movie called "Sucker Punch", which I'd have to say that I haven't heard of it or watched it either. I get inspirations from a lot of things, but mostly from my adorable boyfriend. He inspires me to push forward more each day to continue writing. It's great that he's like that too. I haven't had many guys in my life like that either, so it makes it even better. You done a great job with the topic of magic! It's true magic is everywhere, but you have to believe in it and dream of it too. :)

You see i as a staircase you'll cross when you die" -- I think those are the most beautiful words I have ever read in my whole life in poetry! I was amazed in quite awe by your pure bliss words. Truly beautiful and divine. I don't think that you could've chosen better word choices and structures. Perfection! Though I was a tad bit confused on the last line of this stanza. Maybe I read it wrong? Haha :)
