x and y, You and IA Poem by AehrInstead of this wretched x and y I wish it was simply you and I I wish fractions never made me want to cry And algebra didn’t make me want to die
Geometrical concepts make me go mad Percentage and statistics just make me sad The torture of equations hurts really bad The math ability is something I never had
A hand in your hand, well, that’s addition Of our springing love, I wish there’s no
subtraction With you, of feelings, there is
multiplication Two bodies, one soul, without division
That’s the only math I know My math book? I just want it to go The triangle is my biggest foe And that’s what makes me feel so low
Those angles, and triangles, they spin my
head round To torture me, was this the only way they
found? The You took me out with a net, that’s just how
