All As One

All breathing in the same air

All living under the same sky

All of us have red blood

Which makes me wonder why

Why we are different

Races slashed by an unreal blade

Why are we discriminated

On color, creed, caste and grade?

A flag for each country

A song for each one

A million different rivals

Under the same, old sun

The moon smiled one night

And said There will come a day

When they'll all be united

They will find a way"

The moon never spoke again

And I wait every night

To see if what she said is true

To see if she was right

Why indeed are we divided by so many socially enforced norms; a group of people thrive while another is oppressed in the name of caste and creed, color and grade like you have pointed out. This is a well written poem asking us as people some pertinent and tough questions and I wish we can some day answer them and reconcile our differences...As for the poem, like I said earlier this is very well written with a great flow. I wish people will take inspiration from this and change things as they stand right now...Well done!!
