10th April 2012: We Take RevengeA Chapter by Aehr10th April, 2012 Dearest Iris, Today was one of the best days of my life. I want to tell you everything! Today morning, we told Claire and Rose everything about what happened yesterday. They were shocked, and as angry as I was. (Obvious) “It’s not like Sophie was stealing Ryan from Kristy or anything. No one even knows she likes him!” Rose said in whispers, as we walked to our classes. “Yeah. Vanessa’s a b***h, and Kristy’s born crazy!” said Claire, clenching her fists, as if she would punch Kristy if she came in our way. “We’re done there. We need to find a way of taking revenge. Sophie, you need to come out of your shell. If they say anything to you, fight back! You have to! And once they see you fighting back, things will start getting interesting.” I said. Sophie nodded seriously. She almost looked like she’d start taking notes about all this. She had her spectacles changed, and they were thinner than the last ones. They were actually looking awesome on her. “So here’s our plan” I said, and told them what I had in mind. My friends were in favor, and that was all I needed. We were going to win this one. For sure. Everything was just normal, like everyday, till the Geography class, which was just before the History class. Kristy and her clique got up, and made their way to the washroom. They were gossiping about Lady Gaga’s meat dress. Eew. Plain eew. Anyway, Kristy’s lip gloss was in her pink, furry pouch. (Sick) I took out my secret weapon, opened Kristy’s lip gloss when no one was looking and sprinkled my weapon over it. I closed the lip gloss, and literally poured it on the outside too. Do you know what my secret weapon was? Itch powder. I think you can imagine what happened next. Oh Iris, you have no idea how hilarious it was! After somehow enduring the History class, I was on top of the world when I saw Kristy put on the lip gloss. She even gave it to Vanessa. Then she ran to her darling Ryan. All of us were there to watch the show in Sophie’s class. Pauline was a bit suspicious when she saw all of us together, but she just stuck her tongue out at us, and followed Kristy. Like I said before. Chamchees. When Kristy saw us, she made her way towards Sophie. “So, little girl. Got your specs changed?” she said, with a cold, unfriendly smile. “Yea, I did. I had to you know, or I would have been infected with ‘Vanessa-germs’” and she returned the cold smile. Honestly, we were shocked. Sophie speaking up for herself was huge. And we were glad that was happening. Kristy and her fellow b*****s themselves were surprised. “Little mouse started squeaking, huh?” Vanessa said from behind. “Yea, since you b*****s started itching” Sophie replied, as she laughed. The scene was so comical. The powder had started working. Vanessa and Kristy were both starting to itch, but only a little. They showed us the ‘L’ sign again, and went to see Ryan. “You were amazing Sophie. Where did that come from?” We cheered Sophie on. “O come on, I had to step up. I’m not shy-little Sophie anymore!” she said laughing. We sat back to enjoy the rest of the show. We were quite close by, so we were waiting for the show to begin. “Hi honey!” Kristy said as she hugged Ryan, with that girly smile of hers. “Hey” said Ryan, with a not-very-enthusiastic-un-genuine smile. “So, how’s my sugar bun?” Uhh! Cheesy. Extra cheesy! “Fine and all” he said “Don’t stay back after school today hun. We don’t have any practice.” That made me want to giggle. They did have practice that afternoon. Principal Lawrence had announced that in the morning. But Kristy and her pride must be too busy chatting. And maybe Ryan didn’t want to be humiliated in front of his pals. I’m sure. So after Kristy’s ‘honey buns’, ‘sugar buns’ (and only God knows how many other buns), and all that nonsense, the powder actually started working. It started with Kristy scratching her upper lip a little. Then, Vanessa scratching her hands, till the full effect of the powder came into being. It was hilarious. Suddenly, out of the blue, Kristy started scratching her lip-glossed-lips like crazies. Vanessa followed. They were looking like female monkeys in super-designer-outfits! Kristy’s lip gloss had come off, and her lips were looking fire engine red because of all that scratching. My gaze fell on Sophie. She was going to jump with happiness. Her eyes turned towards Ryan, and his eyes were all over her. Both of them stared at each other, like the cupid’s dart had struck both, and smiled warmly. I knew it! What if Ryan likes Sophie back!? “Ryan!” Kristy shouted still scratching, desperately trying to keep herself steady. “I’ll… see you darling. I’ve got to go copy some… notes or something” and she ran away on her toes to the washroom. When we ensured that she had gone, all of us begun laughing like mental retards. Even Ryan was laughing! Everyone was imitating her, and making fun of her. Sophie, Claire, Rose and I were on top of the world! One of the boys of that class, called Josh Xavers came to us. “You did it right? The four of you did it, right?” he said, laughing. For a moment we stopped laughing and stared at Sophie’s face. She tilted her head upwards slightly, clearly not minding if we told Josh the truth. We nodded and begun laughing again. Josh went to his friends to share the gossip. We called him son of Hermes, the messenger. He was a nasty gossip boy, but at that point of time, we didn’t mind him doing his job. Kristy’s face was red with crying and scratching the rest of the day. So was Vanessa’s. They had hidden their faces with books for the rest of the periods, and Pauline was running around for them, and trying to cheer them up. I couldn’t help but add some more wood to the fire. I went to Vanessa, to take MY revenge. “Oh Vanessa darling, are your lips okay, or should I tell Pauline to get some cream for you?” I said looking at Pauline. “Well, some great man once said that honesty is the best policy. And HONESTLY, you, actually both of you look like witches, with faces as red as Lady Gaga’s meat dress. If I were you, I would have hung myself to death!” They scowled at me, but couldn’t say anything back. Their lips hurt, I guess. Well, it was fun teasing them! The rest of the day, there was a smile on my face. Then, on the trip home, I was still trying to figure Jacob’s new hobby. He was an amazing footballer, but I’m sure that this new hobby of his must be worth it. Well, I don’t know why, but I’m feeling very contended today. Sophie just called. She’s really happy! And you know what? She’s decided that she’s not the cry-baby anymore. She’s happy to step up for herself. And we’re happy too! Oh, Iris, I can’t believe I’ve been so selfish. I forgot to tell you about the sections of my friends. Claire Hudson: 9 A Rose Kenneddy: 9 C Sophie Williams: 9 C Well I guess Claire and I are the unlucky ones then! Today was amazing! I can’t wait to see Kristy’s face when she finds out that we were the ones who put itch powder on her lip gloss. Well, see you then! Forever and Always Destiny
