Juliet in jeans

Gone are the days

Of kings and queens

No family problems

All that is just lame

Through the passage of time

The love remains the same

They now have e-mails

Instead of letters

They type from the keyboards

Instead of birds' feathers

Instead of in parties

Or walks in the town

A head banging rock concert

Is where their love is found

As always, I love the free flow of your words and that easy rhyming scheme of yours still amuses me. This poem evokes so many images in the writer's mind and is undoubtedly wonderful! Modern though times maybe, I think our romantic sides yet strive for bygone fantasies:P

Really interesting to read, and great word choice. Really enjoyable :)
The line which I don't get is 'All that is just lame' - I don't understand what it means, and I don't feel it fits with the rest of the poem, which is melodic to read.
(Does that make sense? I'm tired :P)

that means like.. in romeo and juliet, they had family issues. but in today's world, teenagers would call it 'lame' thanks anyway!
