Readers, this is NOT a story. It's just something I needed to pen down, or my head was going to burst. And I only think that it's fair that I share my thoughts with all of you. Your comments are always welcome.
Lately, I've noticed something, that's burning me to my core. I really can't understand this, and I have no idea what to call it. The doorway to imagination and dreaming is closing. And I always wanted to be on the other side of that doorway. When we are young, why do they tell us stories on magic if all this isn't true? Call my stupid, or whimsical, or anything you want, but honestly, I still ponder over questions like 'Do fairies exist?' and 'Are demigods real?' and all that. I really can't understand how its all coming to an end.
Dreams crash down, tears fall down, it all just ends in tears and frowns.. but why? If the doorway to this doesn't exist, why do they tell us about it in the first place? Why do they crash down dreams of little children, by telling them stuff that is wonderful, but sadly, unreal? When I was exposed to the real world, my dreams were crashed! And it was the worst feeling in the world!
Over the years, people have forgotten how to dream. They can't imagine things anymore. All of them are stuck in electronic gadgets and materialistic stuff. It pains me.
But hey, all this is just me. How can a puny little half-the-size of-an-essay-thingy change anything? This might be the worst piece of writing by me, and it might not make any sense. But it does to me. Because I think, that the worst thing one can do to himself is to stop dreaming and stop believing.
Wow Rhea this piece is amazing! I really like your style of writing, it is indeed incerdible. It is so powerful and talks to the reader! I have honestly never done that before, lol;P
But most of all it speaks-loud and clear and shakes me to my senses, stirs my soul and makes my mind poof up like a baking cake. All these things don't happen woth any write, Rhea and I find myself obliged to commend you on this brilliant endeavour. This is simply stunning my dear! I am almost speechless!
I love the last stanza, it not only wrapped up this piece but also conveyed an extremely powerful message.
Don't stop dreaming Rhea, for they say-"Our actions are but a manifestation of our thoughts". People created fairies, amd all those fictional creature because they /wanted/ them to be true. But sometimes, I have realise that things being alive in your imagination is just as mighty as being true in reality. I hope you find tranquility soon. Sincerely~
AK

One of my favourite lines is "Writing is the best catharsis." It helps to channel your emotions and thoughts into something tangible, and I find it therapeutic. There's nothing wrong with sharing what you feel with others - we are here for you offer our opinion and try to get you through.
And hey, don't let that doorway to imagination close! One of the pitfalls of the society we both live in is that we are unconsciously taught to present a respectable image which entails good grades and a well-paying, white-collared job. But what good do they do when you aren't happy?
If one of thee greatest minds of all time, Albert Einstein, said, "Imagination is more important than intelligence" there must be some truth in that, don't you think?
of course, there is truth in it. I seriously don't want the doorway to close for anyone! Imagine the.. read moreof course, there is truth in it. I seriously don't want the doorway to close for anyone! Imagine the condition of the generations AFTER us. If all this continues, they'll be computer and math geeks, and gadget freaks, and the world will be so... weird. They'll be fast paced people with computerized-type brains. It pains me even to imagine that! *SIGH*
Thanks for your view!

Hmm... what you just described would perfectly fit in a sci-fi novel. :D
And you're welcome!

Summer time is hard for the writers. People are very busy. You need to stay positive. Dreams are a important part of life. Hope and laughter is free and necessary for a good life. Thank you for the very good story.
