Twilight

As the sun descends gracefully

And leaves some light to linger

And twilight comes slowly

Like a slipping ring on a finger

The sky attracts my soul

Towards the dimming light

And I am forced to wonder

And admire this beautiful sight

The clouds and the amazing sky

A beautiful contrast I see

The wind is going wild and

It's fast and wild and free

The bats flying overhead

The magic of birds' song

And I just smile because I know

This enchanting place is where I belong

Author's Note

The twilight sky is undeniably beautiful.
And today, as I gazed up at the enormous and purplish-blue sky, it inspired me to write this poem. Because, we should be happy that we belong to such beautiful place, and we should value it. This poem was inspired by the twilight sky, so I've kept the name of the poem 'Twilight'. I'm dying to see your reviews for this one!!!

I totally love this! It's thought-provoking, it's unusual, and the imagery is just amazing. The words fit in together like puzzle pieces. Ha, i love this poem of yours. It made me smile. Inspired me to smile really bright! I was feeling sad for a while.. but this made me happy. Thanks. The twilight is amazing. i love it as well. I like standing or sitting outside and just watch the sky... it's so peaceful isn't it?
