I killed her. I lured her into my snares and entangled her with Death. She never knew what happened. Never suspected anything. She hopped into Death's carraige without a second thought and left life behind her, an already fading trail. I am not human, nor am I Death. I am merely that which binds the two together. I am Overlooked. I am Forgotten. I am Mystery. I am Shadow. I am your Fate. A creature entitled a Fate is doomed to spend their existance knowing life, but never experiencing it. Knowing Death, but not what comes after. I am a Fate. I am a shade escorting you to that which she knows, but does not feel. Do not fear me or my species. We fear you, because one day, as the prophecy foretold, we will lose what we have now and will experience life and death.
