Instead of Grey

Instead of Grey

A Poem by Rhea752

29 stars and a bottle of lies

Floating around in your golden eyes

Don't say I'm worth it

And fall deeper into that pit

Cause I know it ain't true

It's like saying the night sky's blue

And you may think you're right

But I'm not gonna start that fight

Cause believin isn't everything

It's what makes people sing

But the truth makes people break

And fall into bottomless lakes

For a moment you made me feel like I flew

Made me forget everything true

But I'll never forget what it felt like when I fell

I thought it was a descent into hell

So don't feel hurt when I pull away

I'm just keeping it black and white instead of grey

Sounds like a compulsive liar pulling into reality. When everything is hazy grey and you can't distinguish anything, how do you know what to do with yourself? great piece, doll. I like it.

Reminds me of a conversation between life and death; I assume you've seen it before. Well done.
