The SightA Poem by Rhea752
The night weaves magic
That flurries with ire With it's sonorous voice It booms out a message Meant for all who can hear A message of doom A message of terror A message that all will remember Children cry out in fright Cling to their mothers In a pale sweaty frenzy Racked with tremors All through the night However with a hideous cackle The magic fades away Pushed back by the Onslaught of the sun A symbol of hope And new beginnings Matching the rise of dawn Relief flooded through innocent faces But hesitance to believe The danger was gone Remained unquestioned And rightfully so For each night after Brought forth a new horror A new dream To fill their nights And haunt their days And each nightmare Each magic vision Turned true A miscarriage A murder A torn up family Over and over these visions repeat Over and over the children grieve The children remember Their eyes have been opened To all that is tragic But blinded to all that is beautiful
