Love?

What is this word 

You all speak of 

I've never truly felt love 

Does it burn in your heart 

Like all the poems say 

Does it give you the drive 

To live life 

Was Dante right 

When he said 

It moves the sun and stars 

I feel so empty 

To have not felt love 

Or maybe that's not 

The problem 

Maybe it's because 

No-one loves me.

This is pretty much what I ask myself everyday. What is love? I see all my friends with their boyfriends and listen to them talk about how in love they are and how happy they are and how perfect this guy is. I've never experience having a crush on a guy, let alone love. I question whether or not I'll ever fall in love or if someone will fall in love with me.
But then I see my friends get their hearts broken by guys and I become scared to fall in love...scared to be in a relationship.
Anyway, very nice pome, love it. Keep it up.

This is nice. Yes, love is all those things and more. Love is also painful. I tend to focus on the pain that love causes in my writing. I am still, however a sucker for a good love poem or song. Hopeless romantic by design, I guess. I love this because I was there once. I heard about love, but had not felt it. It begs the question, how will I know? I was your age when I began writing seriously. Very well done! :)

I agree with her below. Let love come, don't seek love. If you seek love you'll hurt yourself a lot more. Or they will hurt you, how ever you view situation. I view it as my own fault, no matter the reason.

You may not know it, but there is always someone who loves you. Maybe not exactly who or what you expect, but someone does love you. This is a great poem, emotional and heartfelt. This is excellent. There is always an empty feeling if one has not known love but there is always someone who does love you even if it is the type of love you crave. love does more than all those things you speak of and it finds you when you least expect it. i do hope you it finds you soon. Then your world will be full of an array of sensations!

Poignant lovely, move the sun and the stars loved the Dante touch. Love means different things to different people . The essence undefinable.
