Review of Divergent

The book Divergent by Veronica Roth has attracted the eyes of many popular authors including: James Dashner author of The Maze Runner, Melissa Marr author of Wicked Lovely, and Kiersten White author of Paranormalcy. It's no wonder why!!!

Divergent is a fantasy novel introducing a world unheard of. Veronica Roth has developed a world of which consists of five factions. Each Faction is dedicated to a virtue. The five virtues are as follows: Candor (The Honest), Abnegation (The Selfless), Dauntless (The Brave), Amity (The Peaceful), and Erudite (The Intelligent). The character Beatrice Prior is in the middle of this world. She lives with her family in the faction of Abnegation. However Beatrice has a tough decision ahead of her. She will soon have to make the choice of which virtue she will commit her entire life to. Will Beatrice betray her family and leave the faction of Abnegation?

 Divergent is a tale of a sixteen year old girl who struggles to understand who she is. As she flirts with the danger of a conflict that could shatter her perfect world she slowly begins to understand her identity.

I loved DIvergent but did not really enjoy Insurgent. Plus, there are many parts that confuse me; especially regarding the fact that the Dauntless just sit around doing nothing instead of 'defending from the outside' which they do now know at all.

I would choose Amity in the Divergent setting, but it would be Dauntless before they 'changed' and all.

i know, right. Dauntless would be my second choice. the only problem is i'd die just trying to jump on the train. whatever a lot of people in real life would never survive Dauntless. they're just to hardcore. :P

hahaha. i don't think i could ever be in Amity. whenever people even slightly annoy me i threaten their lives. or blackmail them like taking their stuff. for the fun of it i took a few of my friends stuff to get them to sign contracts agreeing to give me their souls. it worked. i'm just to malicious for Amity. :D
