The enemy. Time?

Rich and poor, who's to justify?
The rich adjudicate while the poor relent
Tis' a difference 'tween a rich man's blind justification
and a poor man's necessary relent
I tell you this
No man yields power sufficient to force another's relent
Force met with force is historically the human way
Yet within us is a magical quality that allows for multiple outcomes
Compassion, empathy, sympathetic response
Ingrained in our minds is the propensity to live, love and let live
The higher the financial wherewithal
The lower the propensity to exhibit these qualities
What follows is the diminished likelihood to be concerned with the 
well being of those less fortunate than the empowered
This generation, the one that indirectly follows mine
Might do well to consider sapiens' measurement-time
