SEPTEMBER FOURTEENTH - A PRINCE BORNA Poem by Prince Bonsu
A first beautiful smile to the world,
Silky fresh hair curled,
Sweet diamond eyes;
A Prince; one of greats, of heavenly ties
The heart of new dream pumping and beating
A soldier, the army has been Longing and seating
Alas! An innocent child born, hatred sworn
Kindred Love devoid, feelings toyed
The debris, the stains
The memories, the pains
Threading the untarred road; the heat
Black stones knocking the sole of feet,
Sweat caressed broken skin,
Hot sun massaged african body seen,
Body cover thickness like a whale shark
Once in a dream, Grace spread along track
New child; new man, a son of a gun
Simple love won; eternity forgone
Undoubtedly, a Prince born.
