Last One

Last One

A Poem by Rebekah Faith Vrabel

Last One

Roll your eyes
like dice, and
they keep rolling.
Spinning along,
watching all the pain sticking
into your snake eyes.
Slighting the sting
that you rest upon:
Your family…
Your culture…
Your gender…
Your elders…
Yourself…
And for someone so
self-centered, I’d
have thought
you’d remember
that Last One.
