Love Sonnet 189A Poem by Reyvrex Questor ReyesShow me a rose more fair than what I have, And I'll tell you, you searched throughout the lea For beauties that to weary eyes would salve, To find the one you flaunt as fairer be; Or trod the dawn as buds begin to spread, For starting then, flowers are best arrayed, Or in the night, after the day has fled, Espied how moonbeams on their petals played; But should these traits on one fine rose you find, Its thorns are not exactly stuffs for dreams, Yet care that eyes to all the flaws be blind, And only feel what loving heart esteems; .....In time, petals will with the wind be flown, .....But leaves a scent by which the rose is known.
