Invincible

Invincible

A Poem by Reyvrex Questor Reyes

My love, wake up, the drums are coming near,
Our army waits, their catapults are drawn,
The gate is sealed, the moat's bridge hoisted clear,
Our seers have warned about this blood drenched dawn:
Should fate be worst, your asp in basket waits,
My page has sword, unsheathed by his side,
Our noble fathers, gloried in these traits,
Not to surrender, but to die with pride:
Now, bid the shepherd swains to come and dance,
The bards, the jesters, spice the merriment,
We'll win, but then, we all can die, but once,
So while this threat, like none is imminent:
......For we're in fortress, safe from all that harms,
......We are enclosed, we have each others arms.

This is a great sonnet about bravery and love. Your character manifests strong will and determination to not yield, and he shows that he is willing to protect his love at all costs. They rhythm was subliminal, and the volta was well executed. Great stuff.

On the ramparts we all stand, brave and tall
Swords drawn fearlessly, never to fall.
Bows drawn taut, bound to defend
Wills steeled to meet our mortal end.
The enemy driven to take on his spoils
Our souls bound in these temporal coils.
Our spirits are precious in His eyes
In true perfection we must arise.
Embrace the destiny meant for you.
We all know what we have to do.

Hey Lady, you can develop this into a sonnet. Let it be written to form. Splendid.
