Reminiscing Under A TreeA Poem by Reyvrex Questor ReyesMemories of teenage love always remain. For that was the time for naive expectations and wistful aspirations. This shade that once saw love in bloom Keeps part of me till it was lost And now, found in my thoughts of gloom Where lonesome pain exacts its cost The heart and arrow carved in bark Bring back the days of sunlit bliss When we would sing blithely as lark Than be as thieves stealing a kiss The leaves that fell meant time had passed Since sweetness from our love withdraws, Leaves did collect like dreams amassed Down on the ground, scattered like straws Now twigs have each a sprout that cleaves Seems love might bloom again this Spring Which comes as soon as Winter leaves When soon I'll find new songs to sing.
