Play with LoveA Poem by Nick ReynoldsFinished now!sitting all alone behind a blank white screen (C) she wonders to herself if it is all a dream (Am) thinking that her time is passing her by (C) she doesn't want to quit, give up and just die (Am) she questions what she's doing when she calls him back (C) she thinks that “this is really me, I need to relax” (Am) but hanging up the phone before he answers it (C) she realizes on her own, he doesn't give a s**t (Am)
(about) her life, and her style (F-G) She really doesn't know what he wants with her (C-Am) She sees through the fake gold and piles of myrrh. (C-Am) his lies, her pain He doesn't even seen how much she hurts and her heart, her life He feels nothing as he tears her apart.
he wants to get to know her silly little lies but he'll never find out no matter how hard he tries (Am) cause there is this other guy holding her hostage a guy that is holding her over a ledge (Am) and stopping her from breathing in her own way and filling her mind with his banter and play (Am) He wants to get her back to how she used to be but the other stops him from being able to see (Am)
her life, and her style She really doesn't know that he wants her love She can finally see the things that he is made of his strife, his pain waiting for her to figure out his wants and his needs, her life together they decide that they''ll face their haunts.
Looking through everything on her phone the other doesn't see what he doesn't know all he can tell is there's another guy one that promises that he will never lie He gets upset and severely perplexed as he opens up and reads the next text It says “i love you I will never leave and from your body I will never cleave
your heart, your life. Forever and always is how we will be” her tears they fall but for the first time it is out of glee (for) their life, as one will never be stopped til the end of it all and their love will grow And never once will falter or stall © 2010 Nick ReynoldsAuthor's Note
