Trapped and Alone

Trapped and Alone

A Poem by Nick Reynolds
"

This was inspired by the book "The Space Between Us" by Thrity Umrigar.

"

Trapped

Alone

Stuck in a place so far away

All she can do is stay and pray

In her room all day long

Until someone will come along

Pull her up so happily

But until then she will be

Trapped

Alone

Stuck in a prison but its all her own

Shes her own jailer and her life’s on loan

She tries to pull away to a better place

But  festering demons inside, that she just cant face

In her stomach and her mind they will never come out

She lies in bed with the unrelenting doubt

Trapped

Alone

There is nothing she can do to break free

Shell be stuck in this life, sadly

She wants to get up, she wants to get lost

But she never will do it due to the incredible cost

Physical mental and emotional

Who would really know fate’s true pull?

Trapped

Alone

Lost in this life so far from reality

She pensively decides her immorality

Was not hers to choose from the day she was born

Yet her entire life they will inevitably mourn

The options she had and the baby of his

The only way she will ever end up is

Trapped

Alone
