A Poem about the Uncertainty of Love

I love a girl, and each passing day my thoughts of her grow fonder
I love a girl, oh how my heart ever beats joyfully with her name
I love a girl, she " the sweetest fragrance in my warm little world
I love a girl, how it pains my heart, she loves another more

 

To love a girl, always knowing she loves another more than you
To love a girl, always knowing you won’t be good enough
To love a girl, ever knowing her tender feelings won’t be yours
To love a girl, ever near, yet ever so far

 

To fall in love, what a risk untold to a fragile heart
To fall in love, a great pain or unspeakable joy
To fall in love, life’s greatest gifts, man’s greatest curse
To fall in love, our fervent prayer, our morbid fear

 

Love, a sweet song, a sad dirge
Love, a dear friend, a bitter enemy
Love, a symphony, an irony
Love, a sanctuary, a destruction

 

Wait for Love, an eternity, a first sight
Wait for Love, my widow’s myth, my boundless treasure
Wait for Love, I will, I am
Wait for Love, ’til she to love me wholly, I see
