Forever Dream

Forever Dream

A Poem by Raven Wilson

She lies there

Curled in a ball

One can only imagine

What she dreams of

She dreams with open eyes

Startling irises clouded in a forever dream.

A dream only she can see.

A dream no one could ever believe.

I wish I could see beyond those clouds

The beauty beneath...

Would it astound or frighten me?

Could I handle what I would see?

She gave away her still beating heart

To satisfy a whim of her own.

However you stole her soul.

How could you steal such an innocent thing?

I want to see the world that clouds her eyes.

The windows to a soul that no longer resides.

How could you steal all she held dear?

What does she see? Is it only fear?

It started out as a beautiful dream, yet ended in nightmare... I didn't even see that coming... So sad how people would give their hearts away, then get their souls taken away within the heartbeats...

Other than that, it's well written and nicely done tho...
