Another Stone

Another Stone

A Poem by Swirl
"

This was a song I wrote while visiting friends in Florida. If you would like, you can hear a rough version here:

"

Porcelain and crystalline, a combination wise
It's best to look beneath the surface, and inbetween the lines.
A captive a circumstance, the victim of a crime
The circle soon will be completed,
 In its given time...

...can keep you locked behind that door.
But time is not a factor anymore.
The road can be confusing when you're out there on your own.
So never fail to turn another stone.

The fates control your destiny, the karma from your past
The mysteries and energies flow through you oh so fast.
The ritual of freedom is a mandala of fear.
The circle soon will be completed,
 The time is almost here...

...is where you make your home.
But here is not a place for you to roam.
The road can be confusing when you're out there on your own.
So never fail to turn another stone.

You've broken the illusion, the Creator's lost its mind.
But contemplative solace is a place that's hard to find.
A battle between reason, and the shouting voice within.
The circle soon shall be completed,
 it's time now to begin...

...to see the path that lies before.
Begin, to ask the questions more and more.
The road can be confusing when you're out there on your own.
So never fail to turn another stone.

"The ritual of freedom is a mandala of fear"

Such a strong, insightful statement. I think we follow those that instill fear in us, because it's cleverly disguised as power. And in following we inadvertantly loose our freedom, for we let the leaders make our decisions.

Thanks for the great read!
