More than You

More than You

A Poem by Heather

There's something in the way you smile so brightly
Like the sun possessed your precious face
And is speaking it's words through your mouth.

There's something in the way you laugh.
So innocent like a newborn child has taken over you.
And is teaching it's ways through your eyes

There's something in the way I look at you that I never noticed before.
Until there were Polaroids taken.
And I could hold it back no longer.

There's something in the way I need every inch of you
To get me through this delicate Earth
To get me through this torment that never ended.

I want to keep you in my pocket.
So I'll never have to beg for you again.
I would like for you to want that too.
