Aries Aesthetics: Cambodia 1962

A Poem by Cahjli Symes

Stagnant rain,
For days at a time.
Somehow I feel like
I'm being
lynched behind.

An empty room,
Your cold dead stare.
Feeling better worth dead,
as I rot here in bed.

You're still on my mind,
yet I feel like I'm blind.
From daydreams of the past
which I thought would have last.

Maybe I'm wrong.
Maybe you're right.
I'm better off bleeding
in the dead of the night.

Feeling so anxious.
Just say you don't care.
I'm through being lead on
By a ghost that's not here.
