Escape: Unit 731A Poem by Cahjli Symes14 year old pow love story.
Our wounds open
For our freedom, I'll die for you For you to leave them. Experimented for no reason, Prisoners of war We're known as treason. Our village caught In the middle of war, Women are shot While children are gored. I remember the days Me and you would have fun, Now our roads are broken Covered in blood. School's now over No time to pretend, The war just started They kill for our land. They keep us alive Just to test if it works, But hurts And it burns. The surgery's stronger. The infection is growing As our village is burning, They won't close our eyes Cause they know we are blind. Suicide out the question They start vivisection, Your womb is infected Please stop the dissection! Please... She's screaming for me. Please... Don't take her from me. Please.... She's not the person that you need... We're as innocent can be... They took our life They took our land, The smell of rotting flesh Went straight to my head. Forty forced in a room Only meant for two, Thirty dead turning blue Drowned within these fumes. She now has a rash That she scratch till she bleeds, It's not what it seems When devoured by fleas. They took her away While I fought back, They made an example And injected anthrax. © 2015 Cahjli SymesFeatured Review
