Daydreams of Nightfall (

Daydreams of Nightfall (

A Poem by Cahjli Symes

I left her number on the bathroom sink,
Staring at the floor every time my conscious drifts to think

But the tap drips,
As your fingers rip apart
What's left of a bleeding heart
She paints my picture in the dark

With this pain so strong
My nervous system now
Alarmed

So I said f**k it.

I'm done bleeding on the floor
Tired being noticed whenever
Someone wants a
W***e

I'm tired being ignored,
As my body's unexplored
I can't tell what's truth from bullshit,
when felt like I'm adored.

Straight edge
Yet I still want more,
I lay dead
As I drown in Gore

But the moist concrete floor
Match my sheets
As my nails rip from the friction

Every time I think of love,
I'm always ditched in science fiction.
