Life

Life

A Poem by Cahjli Symes

World's collide
As oceans ascend
Breathing from a bubble
Right before he meets his end

The bubble pops
From the penetration of plastic, he proceeds to drown within

The dark depths
The white light
The sun sets
The moon rise
A huge tide
A black wave
Cities gone
Money made

Dehydration
Asphyxiation
So cold
Ears pop
Lungs blown
The blood shows

Drown in deep
Blood flow steep
So cut up
By seaweed

Mind going black
Panic from the pressure
Body in shock as his lungs just popped

A belly full of water
Life flows up his ears
Eyes turning red from his salt water fears

Heart just stop
Life doesn't matter
Crabs burrow through
Like a woman in a dresser.
