The Warm Saliva of Stanley Tucci

The Warm Saliva of Stanley Tucci

A Poem by Cahjli Symes

Grey skies
Above a black wave
Below a streetlight
She holds her breath til the passions right

Blow to blow
Toe to toe
Rope to throat
All these questions
And answers
yet still ignored
Never adored

On a sunny day
With friends we hate
Bleeding on a corner
Left dead to wait
My flesh rots on your open wounds

She carried a coffin
She left her heart in
Left in a tomb
Til her heart got spoiled

Bones of her flesh
Cuts like an arrow
Feelings non existent
Due to persistence
Of a heartbroken pessimist
That's too loyal

What's a dream to be seen
As an ideology, of the things
That we see that makes us go wild?

Just like a child
Young and free
Yet society kills
The ideology

What's there to love,
When there's nothing but pain
And nothing but hate
A hollow soul with nothing to hold

A hollow soul in a world so cold
