Dominica vs The State of FloridaA Poem by Cahjli SymesAnd this was dedicated to my ex best friend. Most of these poems and songs are rather old. However, I am posting them from oldest to current. This is dedicated to my former best friend.Part one of A street car named Desire
In which I admire The hell one Must face before He is erased
The witty laughs Upon my pity What are friends for? Ask the committee
Each day The echoes bounce Up in my head
Every morning I Wake up Feeling in dread
The dread in which I fear The artificial sunshine The smoke in the air
They nail my feet To a cross so i Won’t walk
And flog me Every time my mind Makes me talk
I’m forced Day by day To slice an inch Off my tongue
To close my mind So I can be blind Like the rest of them
Pull the leaves off My shamrock As your luck runs out
I dine in darkness As my heart Gives up. © 2014 Cahjli Symes |
