Modern MarvelsA Poem by revenant21AS time moves on Things dubbed "impossible" Become the easiest Feats for the human race Manmade Mountains Tower over New York Their great beings Shooting into the sky Above clouds and Beyond what was thought Steel steeds Ride upon the pavement trails Zooming up to speeds Once thought impossible Deadly smoke rises To form acid rain From a delicate thing Thought harmless The flowers of the earth Flattened by the Construction ongoing in society Metal tubes Shoot up into the Blue, blue sky Past the atmosphere Into the marvel of space Collecting data No more nature Slowly, but surely Any form of nature Is hard to come by Will there even be one single tree Left upon the destructive land In a sum of 10 years?
