A love that lust defined

Do you believe, my mind conceives

the thought of you and I?

To hold you close, an overdose

As if your touch, a high.

It sounds absurd when put in words,

no matter how I try.

I feel as though, we've met before,

although I know not why.

In this, please trust, it's more than lust

In truth, I cannot lie.

Within your grin, I spin within,

left dizzy from each 'hi'.

If someday you'd say, 'please come and stay'

I'd grow the wings to fly.

I'd cross the blue and swim to you,

to prove you are the guy.

To let you go, would hurt me so,

the thought just makes me sigh,

I hope you know, your love alone

would make me want to cry,

So much in fact, I won't retract

I would not say goodbye.
