Foggy mirror

Foggy mirror

A Poem by revalatia
"

Something different

"

..And while stepping through his looking glass

      A view askew was he

She walked him to a mirror asking

     What it was he sees?
'Another me? Another being perhaps?

.....a myth? a lie? a lore?

Come a little closer

and the truth we shall explore.'

Nodding at her escort,

      she grasped upon his hand,

they continued on their journey

      walking onward in this land.

Exploring trees and evergreens

     ignoring ever rising sands.

..But every now and then

she thought the landscape looked unclear.

In the pit of unthought thoughts

arose the slightest gleam of fear..

...and so begins their journey

along the path of dried up tears..

I enjoyed this poem. A feel of the Dante inferno tale. I liked the journey and the thoughts in the poetry. The poem had a personal feel to the words. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

This connects into the human nature so well, we see things that unsettle us but we ignore it because we are, for the time being, happy doing what we are doing. Well written :)
