Ever since~...(love at first write)

Its been a while since I've been able to dig myself up from my pit to long enough to pick up a pen. ..luckily there's a light at the end of the tunnel...

Ever since I read the words 

 of yours which I had found

I sensed a love of long ago

   as though our souls were bound.

Ever since I heard you speak

  my heart fell to the floor

I thought at once, 'it must be true'

  I've met you once before

Ever since you made me laugh

  a change in me occurred

you woke me up with smiles brought

  with every spoken word

Ever since you trusted me

  to peek inside your mind

I've found in me, an urgency

  to seek what I must find

Ever since I wanted you

  I've been within your dreams

and you in mine, lost in my mind

  my world aint what it seems

Ever since I saw your face

  and gazed inside your eyes

it felt as though my wish came true

  a force had heard my cries

Ever since I've been with you

  I've felt this urge to learn

..to talk it out and figure out

our every twist and turn

Ever since you've proven that

  it isn't only lust

I want to prove, I'm here for you

  to be the one you trust

Ever since we realized

  that sometimes love is late

perhaps that means theres truth to faith

  and coincidence and fate

Ever since you've shown to me

   the kind of man you are

I know its you, I wished for you

  on every shiny star

Ever since I belonged to you

  you always were my prince

I love you now, I'll love you more

  and I've loved you ever since

Beautifully written Revs and such a beautiful journey you took us on with your words. Sometimes, when we are too used to darkness, we are more afraid of the light than shadows, but slowly, we grow accustomed to the light and the fear dissipates slowly, as we stretch out our limbs and amble slowly towards the light once more, forgetting how beautiful the simplest of things can be.
Past memories sparking recognition in someone you know, but yet couldn't, could you? A perfect depiction of the sensation of coming back to life, through the haze of a dream. Superb.

Wow dear, it's a great piece where you have put down your thoughts and feelings so deeply that the one who reads will keep reading twice, thrice and so on... I did it thrice... yep, you have penned a beautiful poem for the one whom you love the most. The simplicity and flow are amazing. I love poems of this type... This piece shows the awesome quality in you. Sometimes past memories are the ones which make is smile, even though those things or beings are not present with us.
