Unconceived Child

Unconceived Child

A Poem by RenegadeEscape
"

A raw yearning for motherhood...

"
I've spent years waiting for you, Precious child of mine
The love I already hold for you could never be defined
I know that fate and time is shaping me
So that I will be everything you need me to be
Went through trials to become the better person I am now
Learned to find my way in this world so I could show you how
Discovering what to show you but also what to shield you from
No harm will ever come your way, my sweet daughter or son
The only fear I hold inside is I may never get to meet you
To never hold you, take your hand or help you tie your shoe
So when you're ready please ask Jesus to send you and Daddy here to me
And if I must wait forever, then forever waiting I will be

I have to admit I didn't know what message to expect when I saw the title, and I must say this poem is really deep, placing so much emphasis on the yearning to have a child, I think many persons go through this type of situation, even for those poor souls who are naturally not able to have one, I can only imagine what they go through, nice work

To have a child is God's greatest Gift to us his children. To see how we ruin that beautiful gift with unwed parents, surrogate selling of babies, etc, etc just causes me as a christian father to be ashamed for all Christians everywhere for dishonoring Christ's gift. I realize that there are often mitigating circumstances but, take a look around at the babies that are living in intolerable living conditions even in 1st world countries.

I like the honest tone and love expressed in the poetry. I agree. A child make two people complete. I liked the hope and wish in the poetry. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
