DAINTED PERSONALITY
Vague, faint, black and dark, Does often my integrity paints, While I know, I am white, Like snowball or angels’ teeth. They see me, perchance, in a trance, Sail on the boat of acrimony. My smiles, they affirm, are sardonic, Unless on the Christmas morning. They say, I dance about, With a calabash of pride and ego, On top my naughty head. They, many a time, say I laugh like Hyena entrapped When heaven knows, I should be calm; And I much delight take in silence, when I should talk like parrot O the black sheep of Eve’s tent Would you ever good does, With your leisure and time, Than ever idle talk engaged. This you do, that you do, Never a time, right do. All, to my image tarnish. They suppose, I am drunk, With sour wine of pride, Wrongs in my rights, they see And swear, I can never right embrace. My dear foe, look and hear You may, my image tarnished Paint black, dark or hue of colours That will never my worries be For I know, consistency of a lie Cannot make the lie truth. © 2019 REMIGIUS SUNDAY EZE |
