The Birdcage Boy and Something Strange

The Birdcage Boy and Something Strange

A Poem by rems
"

a girl has drowned, in sounding sound A birdcaged boy, on Bottlebrush Bay

"
restless as we are, aground
overmorrow close
golden gates, cast-iron clouds
birdcage boy astow
eternity in paradise
vernal weeks in june
lecture me on what i waste
shooting for the moon
freezing water on the sound
grey with ice and snow
a girl is floating, flower crowned
rolling with the foam
eternity and wasting time
summer afternoon
lecture me on what I've tried
all I ever knew
