SUPERNOVA

SUPERNOVA

A Poem by Mariah
"

Okay, this absolutely makes NO sense, but that's the fun of poetry. :)

"

my strength will be the end of me

the end of this.

I invited War

and asked if she wanted some

sweet,

   sweet,

LEMONADE.

I ordered the first battle

Let left

fight right

Half of me

Didn't agree

But that's just insanity.

(right?)

As I crumple and cry

As I shout and rise

I can tell from my breathing

If I've picked a side

(have I?)

combat rages

blamelessly

shamelessly

my soldiers

and my soldiers

plunge into forgotten fields

oblivious to the stir right beside them

old blood

new blood

blood not yet spilled

Every color

will come blend together

seeping into the ground

Counting on a SUPERNOVA.

This flows well with an eclectic mix of thoughts and then comes to talk of war. I know the Supernova concept is when one star swallows up the other and becomes one bright booming Supernova. Maybe this is what you hope for with both sides coming together as one. Even if that's not it, your poem is very well expressed and is enjoyable to read!
