Railroad Tracks

Railroad Tracks

A Poem by Mariah

My life is out of shape

Like abandoned railroad tracks

Used, worn down

An unfortunate concoction

Of steel and rust

So I sit here pointlessly

Waiting for a purpose

Waiting for someone else to repair me

Forgotten

Forgotten

I’ve been forgotten.
