My Own Little World

My Own Little World

A Poem by Mariah

The grass is green

The sky is blue

Gravity pulls me down to Earth

In the real world, that is

But in my own little world

The rain falls down in purple streaks

I leap about the clouds

And the ocean waves crash upon orange sand

In my own little world

“Impossible” just isn’t a word

Dreams become reality

And enough is no longer in short supply

In my own little world

Loves shines like the sun

Happiness is infinity

And bliss doesn’t have to be a delicacy

But only in my own little world.

Beautiful. You words conjure images of an ethereal land of sunshine and joy. I loved this stanza:

"But in my own little world
The rain falls down in purple streaks
I leap about the clouds
And the ocean waves crash upon orange sand"

Great write! :)
