Dreaming of Invisibility

 

I just want to hide

But I’m on display

I just want to feel  how I’m supposed to feel

Let every peculiarity fall away

 

I try to blend in

But I stick out like only I can

I try to be everyone else

But the best I can be is

Nothing better than me

 

Did I ask for attention?

I don’t want to run this race

Knock- kneed in the spotlight

I can’t keep up the pace
