Just some thoughts that came to mind

seeping and creeping

deep in the crevices 

of my lonely and lost heart

the lightning that gave me power

has lost its light, its golden spark

the force that kept me going

has gone and withered away

now it's black lead

seeping and creeping

deep in the crevices

of my lonely and lost heart

time after time

I let myself go

only to want and feel

the liveliness and spirit

I once held so carefully in my hand

Now, it is gone

I'm lost and out of control

holding onto the edge

of reality 

it sure took a toll

on my delicate soul
