Angels

Angels

A Poem by Chase

My heart is still in the wrong place
I could never imagine we'd end up this way
I don't even want to see your f*****g face
After all that we went through, now I'm fighting through the pain
You have abandoned me for the third time this week
It's like this heart that's been broken is so close to screaming
I wake up in the middle of the night, only thinking of hearing you speak
Was ripped from my chest, and I can't stop the bleeding
You weren't the best person to fall in love with
Now we all fall for the bad ones
Maybe you are the reason why my body starts to twitch
They'll just break us 'cause we're so young, dumb and vulnerable
There seemed to be no way to get over you
Young and vulnerable
But right now, you have shown me the proof.
Here's a toast, to the lucky ones.
To the girl, that just broke my heart.
I can't breathe, and after all that you've told me,
You took my heart and made me melt again.
