Blue Mountains

Blue Mountains

A Poem by Regina K. Pride

Blue Mountains
by Regina K. Pride

I look upon these endless skies,
miles of purple hues
and sigh
the majestic mountains shining,
glimmering, set in the stone of the clouds

I look upon these purple clouds
with pink tints to their edges
some beauty made by coincidence
I find my peace in you
in you, I finally can’t catch my breath.

I look upon your blue mountains
the way they stand tall
all around me,
surround me, and make me broken.
And in my emptiness,
your mountain shakes and crumbles.

Your mountain is millions of bits
And pieces on the ground.
I pick them up and they disappear
into the air,
particles of dust.

To us down here,
the specks get caught in our eyes,
an annoyance.
To us down here ,
the mountains were just a myth.

But I remember the mountains,
the blue,
the look on your face
when you finally found your
happy ending.

I remember you,
 the glare you gave me
when I’d messed up,
somewhere deep inside of me
I knew you still loved me,
even though I had not been good.

And whenever I am scared
or feel alone,
 I remember you,
your boldness, your beauty,
your blue mountains shining
and glimmering
outlining the sun.

The imagery and metaphors in this are outstanding. It flows beautifully and effortlessly.

This part is my favorite. The whole piece had such an interesting point of view and tone to it. Very well done.

You're welcome!
I observe a radiant combination of "adventurer/hills" & "heart/love" in your words. Many things in love`re always unspoken to death so, here you`ve made `em"spoken" through your muse. Enjoyed the write!
